como instalar xmms y amarok tengo problemas con xmms porq lo c instalar pero cuando termina la instalacion no como abrirlo alguien me puede dar un consejo porfavor otra cosa alguen me puede decir como rallos descargo e instalo amarok para meter musica en el ipod »

y te lo abre.

Probablemente no tengas amarok en tus repositorios.yo no lo tengo. Lo que tienes que hacer es bajarte de alguna pagina el rpm e instalarlo. Eso si rezando para que no te falten dependencias

Como reproducir musica con amarok

soy nuevo en linux tengo fedora 7 y mi problema es que no puedo reproducir musica con ningun reproductor, y quisiera que linux me reconociera solo las particiones y DD lo hago des de el shell pero cuando vuelvo a iniciar sesion los tengo que volver a montar... me pueden ayudar?

para abrir el xmms prueba como te dijeron anteriormente, en consola escribes:
#xmms
y con el amarok si tienes acceso a internet puedes instalartelo mediante el yum.
primeramente puedes buscar para ver si esta en los repositorios (que de seguro esta)
#yum search amarok
y ya despues..
#yum install amarok

xmms en el5 problemas con mis repositorios
tengo el redhat 5 (el5xen ) quiero instalar xmms y nada me funciona de lo anterior....
al colocar en mi consola
#yum searsch amarok
busca en mis urls repositorias... de RPMS pero me da error , entonces creo que no tengo buenas url de repositorios para mi red hat 5 ....
donde puedo encontrar repositorios para mi red hat ?

es que lo busco en aplicaciones y no pasa nada
pero si voy a consola y pongo xmms me abre el programa esucho musica y todo, pero tengo q manterner consola abierta porque si cierro consola se cierra xmms
como imaginan es incomo esto, asi q ojlaa me pedan ayudar
Fedora 12 is provided as
Fedora 12 is provided as either CD-ROM's or DVD-ROM's for installation. You can either download the multiple CD sets or single DVD for installation. The DVD-ROM disk is the recommended method of installation. Booting the DVD or booting from CD#1 will start the installer which will allow Fedora to be installed on your computer or for you to upgrade an existing Fedora on your machine. The following steps were done with the single DVD installation.
There are also "LiveCD's" which can be booted and will run a basic Fedora in memory while also providing a simpler method of installation (not as complete at the DVD or multi-CD method best man speeches). The default LiveCD ships with Gnome (ex: F12-i686-Live.iso). There is a specific LiveCD that ships with KDE. Both provide an installer however they come with significantly less software than the DVD. Also they require more memory in order to be usable. The LiveCD may be useful for demonstration.
Note: To upgrade an existing Fedora installation you cannot use a Live disk.
